Pah none of these bands can match the majesty that was Vow Wow.

V was one of my favourite albums for years.

Good grief! I haven't thought about Vow Wow for years - I remember that Tommy Vance used to always push them on the Friday Rock Show. I must acquire an album or two immediately!

I recommend "V" (if you can find it)...worth tracking down just for the last track "Warman"

I saw them in Walsall when they released "Helter Skelter" and they made some noise...I love that symphonic style of rock and they replicated it in a tiny club...brilliant night's entertainment.

My friend is into a lot of j-pop and japanese hardcore bands as well....all the band names are japanese character so i have no idea what they're called.

fav animes are Trigun, Outlaw Star, Tenchi Muyo, Dragonball & DBZ
fav anime films... Ninja Scroll, Perfect Blue, Akira

also have a mad addiction to Final Fantasy's especially the earlier ones... 5 - 9 are my favs... ooooh and Crono Trigger and Chrono Cross!

Used to be into anime big-time! Not watched much recently though. Fave anime film for me is Wings of the Honeamise. Wonderful story, wonderful animation.

I just watched 'Ghost In The Shell 2 : Innocence, tonight. The visuals were incredible I was mesmerized by them. I'm also a big fan of Hayao Miyazaki's films, I think my favorite is possibly 'Princess Mononoke' but all the ones I've seen have been pretty awesome. I'm also an admirer of the asthetics of Japanese tattooing, the work of famed tattoo master Horiyoshi III for example, is really something to behold.

Hi,

Sounds like you should check out the Sheffield University Anime society, they have showings on thursdays in the auditorium at 7pm i think.

Two of my friends are massive Firebomber fans, one of them actually runs the anime society. Firebomber are the band from Macross 7, and are insanely good.

You get a lot of people studying japanese at the uni at the anime showings as well. and im sure they have jrock nights. They used to and probably still have karaoke sessions for both anime and japanese societies.

Let me know if you want more info, cause i still keep in contact with these people from when i was at uni.

Fav Animes: Jo-jos's Bizare Adventure, Beserk, G Gundam, Kenshin, Naruto
