I'm currently living in Nether Edge in a shared house, but have now decided to move in with my girlfriend and her 5yr old daughter (who currently lives up Barnsley way). Looking for somewhere from Hillsboro round to Heeley, S6, S10, S11, S7, S8 and a 2/3 bedroom house we can afford - looking for less than £400pm rent.
How easy is it to enrol her into a local school, once we find a place? Is there any steps we need to do now, even before we find somewhere? Am aware the current school year is ending imminently!

Not wanting to be the bearer of bad news or owt, but youve no chance in hell of getting a decent 2 bedder in s10 or s11 for much less than £500pm, and id suspect the same goes for s6 too...

Don't worry about it - it's been a bit of a shock leaving the world of shared houses. Everything gets suddenly expensive..
£500 seems the minimum for anything decent in a decent area :(
