Hi Em. Not sure if this helps, but, here goes. We used to go over to Casa Loco on and off around 1998 / 1999 from where we live near Liverpool. At the time it was a funky house allnighter with a proper underground feel. The tunes were awesome, the best I'd ever heard. I used to love it, but a couple of people I knew wouldn't come with us because it had a bit of a reputation.

Around summer 2000 I think that the Casa Loco night moved upto a venue in Bradford for a spell and the Leeds venue (at Lady Lane) started to host a hard house allnighter called Bounce or Fuse - can't remember the name exactly.....!?!? Not sure how long this lasted though.

We discovered Niche in Sheffield in early 1997 and I would have put both Niche and Casa Loco in the same bracket for clientele, music, atmosphere. It was weird, because the only two clubs I could find like that were both over the Pennines - it must be a Yorkshire thing. Like I said before, I used to love it, and still think that the Yorkshire underground club scene was, and still is, ahead of anything I've ever found over here.

Not sure exactly what Casa Loco is like now but I got talking to a Leeds girl on holiday in Benidorm last July. We got on the subject of Casa Loco and she said that she goes regularly. The way she described it to me sounded exactly like it was when we used to go five or six years ago.

I used to go to Niche for a few years, dont really go that much now. If its like the old Niche then it should be a good night!
