Beatles
Franz Ferdinand
Super Furry Animals
Early Radiohead
Gorkys Zygotic Mynci

as well as a huge raft of other bands.

Best local band is BIG WILLIAM

I wish our charts weren't dominated bu so much throwaway pop and american trash when the real bands that will last don't have a chance to get their music heard

So many bands, so few options on the poll. My 'other' vote goes to PJ Harvey. I've just bought the new Stellastar cd which is excellent - wish they weren't skipping Sheff in their current tour.

older bands such as Jimi Hendrix, Cream, Led Zeppelin and The Beatles (of course).
New(ish) music:Nirvana, Oasis, Coldplay, R.E.M, RATM, Muse, The Strokes, The Coral and a local Sheffield band named Trailer Park Trash

My all time favourite band is Led Zeppelin, absolutely brilliant

Didn't think you were a "Queen" guy. That's the band I'm talking about not your sexual orientation ;)

That's a point - whilst we're on the topic of music your CD works OK?

Yeah I think Showbiz is really underrated - far better than Origin. I still think Absolution is slightly better though - the band have matured enough to make a very consistent album that, for the first time, feels like a whole. Origin was too 'bitty', the songs didn't fit together very well.

But! Origin of SYmmetry does have a picture of the Roxy inside its booklet

my faves change, depending on what mood I'm in, what kind of a day I've had etc. At the minute I feel mellow, I've just stopped listening to Oldfield, now I'm listening to Shaun Colvin.
