I've been looking to get some new boots for the start of the season, from certain websites you can get your name, number etc put on your boots. I just wondered if anyone knew any places locally which provided this. So as I'd be able to try the boots on before spending a load of money on the internet for boots, getting my name on then finding on they don't fit and not being able to get a refund. Any information would be gratefully recieved.

Why??..in case you lose them??
Be prepared to have your legs split in two if you run onto a Sunday league football pitch wearing boots like that. Thierry Henry, David Beckham, Wayne Rooney and the like can just about get away with it because they are professional footballers..you'd just look a tit...but each to their own.

Why would someone intentionally go for the owner of personalised boots?
If I had my daughters name on the back of mine, I dont think during a game that people would give two hoots about my boots to be fair.

I think personalised boots would be cool, but as wibbles said you will be a target for people who will think you're a show-off.

Dunno where you can get it done, sorry.

Do you play Sunday league??...if so then you would know why.
It's a bit like wearing white boots..just asking for some overweight p*ssheed defender to decide you're trying to be billy big time because you say David Beckham has some so why can't you.

I have played Sunday league football for a long time, and I can confirm that the owners of white/reg/orange etc boots DO get targeted!
Its not big, its not clever, but it happens.

If you invest in personalised boots I would recommend your health insurance is in order.

Angelus play Sunday League footie? :hihi: Naah!! For a start he'd need an angle grinder to separate his a*se from the computer chair and also there's not a lot of Sunday Leagues wear Brazil shirts. LOL

Not sure if this helps, But if your ever over in leeds, a stall in the white rose shopping centre can personalise boots etc while you wait.

I play Sunday League, I have'nt been playing for about 3 years. I played before that on Sundays, then started playing rugby for Hillsborough Hawks then moved on to play rugby union at Abbeydale for Sheffield, so people can target me as much as they want i'll give them some back! Nah being serious I was'nt sure if I'd get in the team when I started going to training as I hav'nt played competitively for so long so I just got some cheap boots from sports soccer. But now i've been doing well in training and I know i'll be in the squad for the season I wanted to invest in some really nice boots. I normally get adidas world cup's but fancy some predators and just thought they'd look good if I got my name and number on (9).

I bought my husband some footie boots with his name on from the nike site, they only took about 10 days from ordering to delivery and not a bad price either! ... fitted and looked good, and had no hassle with the nike company

I've just boots these boots and got them personalised. With my mane (DRummond) and number(9) on them. Hope the link has worked if it hasn't they are the Mizuno WAve Cup Pearl S.G. Only £40 for boots and personalisation look like they are a good boot.

Just checked the link doesn't take you straight to them but if you go to the drop down menu for brand and go to mizuno they are on there. Easy enough to find as they go down in price and the ones i've just got are one of the cheapest.
