I've seen a number of Almodovor's films over the past couple of years. Is anyone else a fan of his work.

I've seen Hable con Ella, Todo Sobre mi Madre, La Mala Educacion and Mujeres al Borde de un Ataque de Nervios.

Although the subject matter he uses is often very controvitual (the rape of a woman in a coma, sexual abuse in the Catholic Church and child buggary) I still think his work is sensitive enough to touch these subjects and of an highly stylistic nature.

Has anyone else seen the above film, or watch Spanish language cinema (Amores Perros, Y Tu Mama Tambien)?

I haven't seen the last two (not quite sure how, normally I will travel miles to see his stuff!) but overall the man is indeed an utter genius.

One of the few directors that really give women characters good well developed roles - and not just for pretty young uns as well. Devilishly witty, beautiful visual style, leftish and anti-catholic, hard to imagine him being able to be any better really.
