i'm currently on 02 and thinking of switching to virgin mobile....!
o2 have been great dont get me wrong put i'm not paying for an upgrade when new a customer gets them free and other providers will offer a free one, i have said to o2 that i want to cancel my contract, she asked why so i gave reason all she said was ok so i gave my 30 days notice......
so i was wondering if any body is on virgin contract and what do you fink?

I've used virgin, but on pay as you go, I couldn't find anyone with prices that beat o2, but I've not looked at contract allowances :suspect:

I am with 02 on contract, have been for 13 years, since it was Cellnet and I get a free upgrade once a year, so its not only new customers, I can't understand why you can't get one!

Depends on what you want really. Personally, I'm with Orange because I send so many messages (usually reports to umpteen people if I can't get to an email, which may be several pages long) and I get 3000 messages for £20 per month, but there's no discount on calls. And I usualy either get close to 3000 messages or exceed it ........

As contracts go, I think FlexT from T-Mobile is probably the best, especially as the cost has gone down from when it first started.

I'm with Virgin Pay as you go (although have used them on contract in the past)

I have absolutely no complaints and at the moment, (until 30 Sept) it's free text's to all other Virgin Mobile customers. Why does free stuff rock so hard?!

Virgin use T-Mobile's network so you shouldn't have any problems with the coverage. As to being charged for an upgrade, this usually depends on how much you spend a month as a customer (very basically, there are other factors involved as well), so while you will get a new phone free if you take out a new contract you may find yourself in the same boat when it comes to the end of the new contract, and you find yourself wanting to upgrade again.

t-mobile, best service by far and good reception. cheap too. have been with orange and they have some great offers especially student deals but their customer service is awful its just not worth it. none of them know their ar$e from their elbow and when you ring a second time for summat they meant to have cancelled or sorted they will argue the to$$ that you never called before  - in 15 months i spoke to one really nice and helpful girl which made a nice change cos the rest are idiots and never do what they say they will. Orange have very poor signal in a lot of places too. im sticking to t-mobile from now on, was with them before i went to orange too.

I've been on vodafone for the past 6 years too and recently got a call from O2 asking me if I would consider changing. Basically discussed it with him and there was no offer they had that could beat the "stop the clock" deal. However it depends on when you use your phone.
