Everytime the summer seems to come around and im sat in the garden enjoying the sun with the family, I always think back to the days of my youth and why i loved them without knowing it.

I always remember the summer holiday would be to Scarborough or Cleethorpes! Eating ice-cream on the beach & fish and chips for dinner. Going on the fun fair rides and almost always winning a goldfish ( never quite knew what happened to them though ) I think my dad would let them go in the pond in the public park. Does anyone remember the drinking fountains that used to be in all the parks? we'd all be queuing up to have a drink in the heat!

days spent wandering around in the country or at a friends house where we would try to get upto as much mischeif as possible.

 aaaaah! wonderful days - before political correctness, before chavs and before wednesday went downhill.

oh yeah, that's the stuff loads of summertime memories flooding back now :) . I wonder what most of the kids today will be posting about in years to come.

From Chav forum.

" Ah remember the good ol' dayz when I were ridin mi Nova, those sunny afternoons spent wiv winder up defning myself with those banging choonz. I remember going into the parks and razzin round on grass what ever happend to parks now they all got closed off for some reason and now are housing developments. I saw a spar yesterday, now that brought back memories hanging outside getting older kids to buy beer and cigs or sending in the kid with the biggest sids and bumfluf tash, used to have a walkers and white lighning on the swings before wrecking the bowling green. Beautiful."

 :loopy: :P

Back to my memories, playing football then going on a walk through the peaks, great stuff.

my fave childhood memories (not too long ago) is at my nans in dover. a beautifull house and we had the whole family over for a bbq and it was the most gogeous day ever!!

the shame of it is that they are now selling that house to move back to Cleethorpes
