Yes folks its only 23 weeks to Christmas. The only reason I ask is because i would like to rent a stall to sells small gifts and homemade cakes etc. If this is at a church then would only be too happy to donate a set amount to the church or what ever charity this is done for.

So can any of you point me in the right direction so i cna start making Xmas cakes.

I'm trying not to think about it now you've just mentioned it.

I think it's incredibly annoying when shops start advertising early for it. I can appreciate they want to capitalise on it as much as possible, but what about leaving some of the magic in it for us?

If the adverts and festivities started in decemeber then fair enough, but early adverts just show that they are only interested in the profitting and making money from Christmas, not the reason for Christmas or the family time etc.

It's July now, wonder how long it is until we see our first Christmas advert...:(

Personally, I think I just have to be the worlds biggest fan of Christmas.
I absolutely love it!

So yes, I have been thinking about it all ready, infact I was sat in the living room the other night mentally envisioning where I'm going to put the tree this year.

Christmas;
A week off work (with no tasks to do), lovely food, lovely wine and time to spend with Family and friends.

Bliss.

Need to enjoy the summer before considering Christmas for the family but from a business standpoint Chrstmas is definately in mind - wish it wasn't - usually think about Xmas first week in September.

The best Christmasses I remember for parties were when I used work on cruise liners out of Australia as a Marine Engineer. The parties started at about the end of November and went through to the middle of January.
The Captains Party was always on Christmas Day, but every day around were the departmental parties, the head of department parties, the deputy head of department parties, crew parties it went on and on.
The entire ships were in an alcoholic haze, how we managed to get 45000 tons of steel and aluminium around the world is amazing.
Funnyly enough though it never really felt like Christmas does at home.
Probably because we were so far from home, or maybe because deep down, even though we were shipmates, we were strangers to each other really.
Also having your Christmas Dinner when its 110 degrees F in the shade doesnt help either! :D :D

That makes two of us then, I posted on here at the beginning of January, telling folks about all the half price Christmas trees and decorations that I purchased ready for this year. Ive even got some presents in. I absolutely love Christmas, and all the pomp that goes with it.

:partyhat: MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE :partyhat:
