I was wondering if it would be good if the SFCCC (ok I have nicknamed us SFCCC = Sheffield Forum Classic Car Club) could start a monthly meet up? Perhaps the 1st Monday in every month or something similiar.

I am not sure where though? I would suggest a more traditional pub where you can sit down and natter perhaps get some pub grub, and not have blaring music or football. Oh and a safe car park and easy location would be essential. Village location somewhere?

Just an idea. Any thoughts?

If you could make it a weekend that would be more suitable. I really can't make weekdays as I never know what time I will finish work. Good idea though.

Theres a nice pub at Owler Bar roundabout called The Moorlands. It's a very nice pub with a hugh carpark and very nice food. Not too far from Sheffield either.

the mg classic cars meet at the other pub at owler bar is it the peacock or something? big car park any way, no longer got a classic car so i'm not wanted anymore.

I have never been in that pub. Have driven past it millions of times and never gone in.

Owler Bar is in Totley? Sorry I didn't know so looked at a map. Shall we make a list of who is interested and then set a time/date?

Owler bar isn,t quite Totley. It is classed as Derbyshire but you go through Totley to get there!

There's a good pub there called THE MOORLANDS I think.....very big and enormous car park..

are we going to get this all together? What about fixing up the first one before the end of the month....

Just to say I can't do the weekend of the 29th/30th or the 6th/7th. How about Sunday the 13th August early evening/late afternoon. Say 4/5pm? Or it could even be this coming weekend depending on how people are fixed.

I am not familiar with the venue, but perhaps someone who is could just give them a ring to check they aren't closed for refurbishment, etc on that day and that food will be avaliable.

We can't do weekend 29th/30th as we are showing at Bamford. We are also on holiday at the end of August for 2 weeks. We are also busy this weekend.

Food is avaliable all day every day and I don't think they need a refurbishment just yet!

It's dead easy. If you can get to Abbeydale Road in Millhouses/Totley/Nether Edge you just keep going until you run out of Sheffield and then about 2 mins later you reach the roundabout with the pub on the left. It has 2 entrances. You are better going onto the roundabout, coming off at the 1st exit and then the entrance is on the left about 50 yards on.

I think I know where you mean, the road splits into two up a steep hill and you reach the most un-round roundabout ever. Go round the roundabout for bakewell.

Thats the one. It's probably the worst roundabout in the world. You can use any lane to get off at any junction.
