View Full Version : Where can I dispose of my Mobile Phone?

Wondered if there anywhere I could hand in my antique mobile and battery charger.

I understand there are environmental considerations when disposing of such things but I also wondered if any local charities collected them.

It is completely defunct and could only be used for hitting someone with.

The domestic violence charity Refuge also do a scheme where you can donate them your old mobile phone:

Really, there are people willing to buy a 6 year old Philips handset, ex Cellnet, which is no longer viable because o2 have switched off its credit card sized SIM card, and I even had to get a replacement battery charger direct from the manufacturer?

Tell you what, you can have it for a tenner :thumbsup:

Failing that I'll go with one of the other suggestions. Thanks folks!!

The Cavendish Centre collect them for recycling and get money for them

Its a philips tcd308 (?) an old Cellnet U one, bought in April 1999
