Have you ever won anything from on line compatitions? if so what was it

A couple of years back when i was unemployed i eneterd every competition on www.loquax.co.uk for 6 months [between applying for jobs] and won a number of CDs, DVDs and videos - including such delights as a signed Duran Duran CD, a 'how to recover after giving birth' DVD and Bill Bailey videos [actually one of the better things !]. Also won a wireless keyboard [entered a competition 2 days late and still won it !], 'Metropolis' limited edition figure, and oodles of things I cant remember. Sold much of it off online to provide funds whilst unemployed ! Once won a cheque for 50 quid on bananalotto so that helped immensely...

Still on mailing lists for many of the sites I registered on and get free food samples etc even now :thumbsup:

Hope some of your luck rubs off on me.... I never win anything and I enter loads.. Still I like to dream

Ive won a couple of comp's in the Sheffield Star, and a couple online (Signed CD, Planet of the Apes DVDs)

Has anyone ever won anything in a competition on the internet ? or is just another way to get our email addys. I keep trying but only ever get more carp (yes i know it's spelled different) ...but one day who knows............................

Well I enter loads, but only from companies I know. This website: http://www.ukcompetitions.com/ gives a list of loads of competitions. I enter them, only takes 2 ticks. Never know, you might win something!

Never won any prizes, but have been the one millionth visitor to many, many sites :D ;)

Once put a reader review on thw Gready cow web site on Radio Sheffield for Beres & son and won the review of the month prize.

Read the Email and thought we would get some thing to do with food, you know a free sarnie or somthing but it turned out to be a much better prize than that.

Oh yes, it was a pencil, rule and rubber, all with a picture of a cow on.

P.S. if you go to the gready cow site also look at the review of the K.F.C at Penistone road. I had to be polite to get the review on when I really wanted to say the place is minging.

I won 2 tickets to NY Sushi's Big Bang at the Ski Village. Tickets were £25 each so was a good win. Only problem was recieved notification 2 days after event :(

I have won...Daredevil paraphernalia [watch, cup, Tshirt, cufflinks and CD], probably because the movie was so crap that no one else entered the competition lol
And an autographed copy of Joanne Harris' book - Holy Fools [from a BBC competition]
and two passes to see some movie, but as J said, I got the tickets two days after the movie premiere :-)

So I haven't done too badly, and I have quit while i am ahead

Have won a bundle of CD's (all terrible mind you) from the BBC South Yorkshire website and £20 on the Tombola scratch and win website. Was amazed at winning on Tombola and the cheque came in a week!

Won an emo CD from Rock CIty's website. No notification - it just popped through my letterbox one day with no explanation :confused:

My mum's just won a pair of tickets to Sydney from a website (some UK company that sells japanese stuff). Knowing that myselef and girlfriend need a pair of tickets to Oz to get to a wedding next year, she's... kept them and is going with my father soon. Bah. She's a serial competition enterer and has had about a dozen free holidays so far.
