I was more of a chocolate man myself, and still am. Sweets were OK and I used to eat quite a lot of jawbreakers, but mainly I used to eat chocolate bars like caramels, crunchies, dairy milks, etc.
Cola Cubes, Wine Gums (the hard ones, not the soft rubbish that are more popular today) and those red laces covered in sugar, I can't remember their name.

For a transatlantic flavour: Sugar Daddys (yes, sweets  ), candy corn, tootsie rolls, and Hersheys Kisses. And sugar lollys (made with cubed sugar :?: )
I used to like these litle white sweets with an outline of a dove etched on them. They always used to cheer me up.
