I seem to recall it just being called Sheffield Star Fleet, we used to watch episodes of TNG straight from the US and played games such as "Why I shouldn't leave the shuttle" and we had sales of things like tribbles and books, lol.

When you joined you was an ensign then you went up the ranks after answering some questions, I made it to lieutenant.

I'm no huge Trek fan, but have any of you been on the Star Trek Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton?

I thought that thing was top notch!

Ah those were the days! I was a member of Sheffield Star Fleet and still have the certificate somewhere to prove that I am indeed a ensign vulcan science thingymagig.
I used to spend pretty much all my wages in the space centre and papered my walls with those TNG poster mags that folder out ito huge erm posters.
I think I still have my uniform around here somewhere but unfortunatly the huge stand easy of Kirk Spook and Bones that I bought iat a starfleet met (and was I think nicked from outside a Pizza Hut doing a 25 years of the orignal series promo) got lost in my student moving days.
My boyfriend found it off putting apperently as I used it as a head boad ;)
