Subject: FW: Warning from the Department of Transport

New Department of Transport instructions:

In order to assist other motorists in identifying potentially dangerous
drivers, it's now compulsory for anyone with a lower than average intellect
to display a warning flag, comprising of a red cross on a white background,
attached to the top of at least one door of their vehicle. For drivers of
exceptionally low intellect, additional flags are required.

cheers to teabag

(It made me laugh anyway  )

Ace RPG

The driver can now determine in which direction he is going by observing the direction the flag is flying.

I heard that airlines have already abided by it to avoid near misses.

Oooh - attempts by the loony left to belittle a bit of harmless patriotism.

I definitely ain't 'loony left' t020.

And this is 'selective' patriotism. (which doesn't count)

Where are all these flags during VE Day, VJ Day, Wimbledon, Coronation Day, Olympics?

They're just football fans supporting their team, not patriots.

Oooh attempts to turn a harmless bit of fun into an all out slanging match...

But, back on topic... hate to say this but it took me a full minute to click... Damn I need my caffeine in the mornings! :loopy:

t020, I can't help thinking that if the initial post had been saying how wonderful it is all this "patriotsm" displayed by people supporting a football team, then you would have come in on the opposite side.

Why is everything so political to you? sometimes things are just funny and there is no "hidden deeper meaning" behind them.

Im a tory voter so your "loony left" comments have flown right out the window :P rather like one of those stupid car flags.

What are u on? Why does having a flag on your car during the football have to do with politics? Did Venus do a flypast the other day on it's way to pick you up?

Everyones moaning about a few flags up for a few weeks to show patriotism during a football tournament. Flying a flag has absolutely nothing to do with intellect, but anti-flag lefties will make out that it has, just like they will try to convince the police that it can cause a danger.

Oh don't be so bloody silly.. this thread was nothing to do with that..

You just can't stand anyone actually have a light hearted chuckle without trying to cause some kind of arguement.. Get a sense of humour for crying out loud...

Shouldn't a "near miss" be a "hit"?

*BOOM*
"oh my - they nearly missed!"

Thanks Susie. I see "miss" means "not hit", avoid not hit is nonsense.
