The only downside is that it needs some kind of air-con as it gets a bit smokey and hot. The place is too small to have a smoking bit, please ban it! Nu_Skillz 13-06-2004, 15:49 have you tried the 'Coffee in a Can' yet? you can get it from most service stations, comes in various flavours and is kept in a special 'heated fridge' or should that be 'oven' and the cans are the same size/shape as redbull cans. i bought one (ill try ew't me) it was bit expensive £1 (i think) and once the can was open it went cold rather quickly other than that, i thought it was quite nice, but nothing to write in a forum about ;) vampy 13-06-2004, 22:41 :o they still make that? i've not been able to find that for a.g.e.s!! it's amazing! it tastes pretty good, i was suprised. any places/newsagents in sheffield do it that anyone knows of?? ooh...i really need some now! darn.. Tasted like cats weewee, and you only got two mouthfuls, but a godsend at the Reading festival first thing in the morning! custardcream 14-06-2004, 11:33 sod coffee......lets have a cuppa tea!!! so i can dunk me custards... evildrneil 14-06-2004, 11:44 I shall have to try Cafe 9 as I'm a bit of a coffee fiend! I quite like Utopia - though prefer the Lounge Bar for coffee on West Street. The best coffee all round though still has to be Nonnas which is like drinking liquid heaven! Disco_Cat 14-06-2004, 12:03 I tired Nonnas but was a bit disappointed but i think i must have been in a bad mood because everyone rates it as the best. Where is this utopia place? it sounds like just my place as coffee and cheesecake are my all time greatest treats. One place to try for coffee on west Street is the Restaurant just next to the Oxfam book shop and the tattoo parlour, they do the best Turkish coffee I ever had. Not to everyone’s taste I admit but a real caffeine hit, for those that love it evildrneil 14-06-2004, 12:11 Originally posted by Disco_Cat Where is this utopia place? it sounds like just my place as coffee and cheesecake are my all time greatest treats. Its the strange round glass building in the middle of the West One collection of shops. Their expresso type coffees are fab - but I wasn't that keen on their caffatierres! I shall have to try the Turkish Coffee - do they do apple tea as well? tara 21-06-2004, 21:45 nice mocha at that one at corner of west street and leopold street is it called cafeteria or something. nice home made cookies rest of food good too. Phanerothyme 22-06-2004, 19:23 Originally posted by tara nice mocha at that one at corner of west street and leopold street is it called cafeteria or something. nice home made cookies rest of food good too. "the Cafeteria" I get a large latte and pain au chocolat there every morning. Top stuff, Lavazza beans etc. Nice people, smoking allowed. evildrneil 22-06-2004, 19:50 Is that the one on West street roughly opposite the new lil Tesco - always seems to be staffed by very cute lil punkettes/gothettes? If so they do amazing expresso which you almost have to eat rather than drink! Tony 22-06-2004, 20:59 That's Cafe Moco. A great coffee shop, and non-smoking during lunchtime  . |
