What to do? We went away for the weekend and partner's mum came to feed our babies on saturday. We came back on Sunday only to find one kittie and the other one missing. After a sleepless night I saw her on my way to work in gardens a few doors down. I tried to catch the little madam (!) but she ran off (she's really timid), but now I'm thinking that someone might be feeding her. We give them Hills and the other kittie has a beautiful coat but she always looks a bit scruffy. Do you think it's possible to befriend and feed a timid cat? Also, how do I get her back because she won't come home! Don't know what's happened cause she's adored and our other can meews all the time because she's not around. We're all upset!! :help:

She`ll be back in a few days. The same thing happened to my monster and he came back once he got bored with exploring, he was half starved and slept for 2 days straight afterwards.

Don't be too sure, this is something that really annoys me. When we moved in our house we had 3 cats we now have one and it is not one of the original three! we have had no less than 5 cats in four years. we still see them around they come and show us the new collars which the salmon, tuna and chicken feeding old biddy brigade have given them.

They were all spayed/neutered they were all fed with top quality cat food but little old Lady's thought that they would prefer salmon. I have visited these people and asked them not to feed my cats, I have even stuck a note on one of the collars asking them not to feed them, They just don't listen....if they want a cat so badly, why not go and get one?

cats are not very loyal creatures, if someone flashes a can of salmon, they will happily accept it.

Cats will go where ever they get fed.
One night nearly 4 years go we heard a pathetic meowing outside out door.
It was tossing it down so we went to have a look (we wouldnt leave an animal out in the rain like that)

Anyway, what we found was a tiny kitten about 12-13 weeks old, totally wet through.
We took it in, dried it and fed it.

And I have just fed it again..its still with us, even after moving house twice.
We also have her 3 year old son, and last week she presented us with another ktten which she gave birth to in next doors garden :o

In fact, thinking about it, thee are a few folks on the forum that have her offspring.

Looks as if ive been lucky with my cat then, he buggers off for a few days but soon drags his sorry arse home if the weather gets bad.

Our cat went missing for ages, she was being fed by someone else. That really, really winds me up. I used to know a girl who used to shut a neighbour's cat in her house and feed it knowing full well it had a home.

Don't get me wrong, we found one of our old cats it kept coming through the cat flap and we put posters up and everything but she was claimed, but if the cat has a home (ours wore a collar and was groomed well) then don't feed it!

One of our cats was allergic to milk and someone kept feeding her and making her ill, then she'd come home and grace us with all the sickness and diarrhoea.

This really winds me up too.

I lost a cat last year and I am 100% sure he was being fed elsewhere and despite collars saying don't fed my cat, he went missing for longer and longer periods and finally stopped coming home :(

Also I had a lost looking cat turn up at my house a few months ago, so I did the responsible thing and did NOT fed it but turfed it out with a label attached to his collar asking his owners to ring me. Once they did, I continue to turf this cat out unfed at regular intervals.

She is extremly ****** off because you went away, she's having a massive kitty strop. She will refuse to come home unless she has tuna, roast beef or chicken to butter her up. I've had people try and steal my kitties too, the secret is to remember that you have to give them the tastiest nom and they will never leave. I recommend prawns and chicken.
