:| Decide to have a power cut in the Middle of the england match on saturday! How funny it was. I was trotting home from work, approached the estate when the pub emptied to much swearing and jumping up and down.

Burglar alarms were going off everywhere, I walked on to my road to find everyone ordering taxis (yeah like that was going to happen) out in the streets with their car radios on full blast.

The electricity company confirmed there was a major problem and they were working on it. I have never seen such panic and helplessness for a long time and it did make me chuckle.

Thankfully the power was restored just in time for us to see england get knocked out of the competition.

How is that for timing?

Heh..yeah. Ours went off too - there was a stampede of people running out to their cars to switch the radio on :hihi: Brilliant timing - I was looking for the hidden cameras!

Too timely in my opinion? Unless it was because too many people switched their telly on at the same time

I went to play on Saturday where two of my children were performing. At least one person I spoke to had come without her husband because the match was running over. How can someone miss their childrens play because of a football match? Anyway, apparently they lost, so this mass hysteria will be finished and the chavs can take thier flags down.

I took some junk to the local tip and it was just like a ghost town - nothing on the roads, shops empty (or closed if owned by a bloke!)

Not one to put a flag on my car, as this is very much part of a chav as all their gold, but why do you make pointless comments in any thread that has mentioned the World Cup? If you do not like football then do not comment and keep your immature opinions to yourself

So according to you, displaying the George cross flag during World Cup season is chav-like behaviour? :loopy:

Funny, I would consider it a sign of Patriotism.

Fool.

Yeah, I got home from work 5.15 to silence, thought my man had gone to the pub... only to find him sat very annoyed at the power cut, so like 2 sad sad people, we sat in the car on the drive with the radio on. He then did point out that loads of burgular alarms were going off and did i not think that was strange?!! Then our neighbour let out the loudest cheer when power resumed! I did find it funny too, would loved to have seen the pub evacuating!!

My children are more important than anything. I didn't say they are not. My comment was for Ken H. I suggest you read it properly prior to making any derogetory remarks.
