Hi,
I wonderd if any one had similar experience to me with reguard tothe Housing registration. I filled in a Housing Registration form at Howden House in July and then again in October with a Housing officer at my Park Hill flat (as I hadn,t recieved my registration number from the first form).

Well I still haven,t recieved it so I asked for it via email at the First Point center and was told they couldn,t send it beacause of the new privacy law or what ever.

I sent a mail the sheffield property shop who could look it up for me with my full name and DOB but on doing so found I am not even registerd so I need to fill a housing registration form?

I live on Long Henry Row where tenants are supposed to be rehousing due to the renovation plans of Park Hill and there is a flat to rent on Long Henry by the sheffield property shop. Any one have a clue whats going on?

I applied for housing in sheffield on the housing register and I didnt hear anything for 4 weeks, when I called back they said they hadnt recieved my form then asked me to re-send another, anyway another 4 weeks later I still hadnt heard anything.

I eventually called up the Sheffield Property shop and explained the situation but the person on the other end of the phone said you are not on our system yet and expected me to except it and politely put down the phone so I asked to speak to a supervisor and with this I got through to someone from Admin Support and straight away he pulled out my form from the filing and said he would process it that afternoon.

Yesterday I recieved my letter with my registration number but as sods law has it I have to wait for my pin number which will arrive shortly but still AGGGGHHHH!!! How bloody frustrating.

I get the impression they are sitting on processing the applications but god knows why obviously they are trying to delay matters.

I dont know if its any use to you but I have these 2 numbers for the property shop 0114 272 5363 & 01142734722 ask for a Tom Mitchell, he's the bloke who signed my letter and maybe he could help speed things along for you, but dont hold your breath I could be wrong.

That was good info. I,ve just mailed them again, told them of your experience and asked the person to ask his supervisor to look in the files as thers not much point filling in a 3rd form when the first 2 havn,t been processed within almost a year and 8 months respectively. May be they are delaying but I can,t think why?

Yes, its possible. Could also be plain old incompetence or laziness. ( if its not in the computer getting up and walking over to the filing cabinet might be considerd a strain by some)

That mail I got from First Points senior customer service adviser informing me she couldn,t give me my housing registration number due to the data protection act, had at the very least an arrogant tone.

If the sheffield property shop can give the dam number then so can any one who chooses to.

where theres a will theres a way! If there is innitiative any where in there.

Yipee, after senting 8 emails and writing one letter I finally got my Housing Registration Number and the Pin will follow.

Only problem is I quite often can,t even acces the Propertyshop site, any one else have problems with this? Does any one know if they,ll sent a property paper to your adress every week?
