TV presenter and Lily Savage comedian Paul O’Grady has been taken to hospital with a suspected heart attack.

O’Grady, 51, who suffered a heart attack in 2002 was admitted to Kent’s William Harvey Hospital on Friday after suffering chest pains.

A friend of the star told the BBC, “It does appear he has had a heart attack.”

A spokeperson for Channel 4, who broadcast The New Paul O'Grady Show, says, “We are shocked and concerned by the news. Along with Paul's many fans we are wishing him all the very best

Fortunately he is expected to make a full recovery.

I adore the man. He's very self effacing and one of the smartest and funniest men on TV. I wish him all the best.

I hope he does give up smoking this time, it's so preventable. He's lucky to have another chance, I hope he takes the warning.

I like Paul o'grady's lily savage character.

Paul O'Grady is really funny, and Lily Savage was excellent.
