Probe over 'deafening' auctioneer (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/hereford/worcs/5130734.stm)

I am continuing as I have for 40 years on the premise that if I had damaged people's health there would be a lot of deaf people in Hereford

:hihi:

The HSE strikes again!

OK the HSE may be duty bound to investigate the complaint - but what about the sad useless pratt who complained. Fancy going to a livestock auction and not expecting the auctioneer to have a big voice

It's getting like America, where people stab themselves with chopsticks and sue the restaurant for having them on the table.

Oh dear. Someone's got too much time on their hands and not enough serious or important things to think about haven't they?

"The HSE said it had received a complaint about Mr Probert and was "duty bound" to investigate." - What a sad fool

"Health and Safety rules state employers should provide ear protection for people exposed to average levels of 85 decibels over an eight-hour period." - :hihi: just imagine it.

If I worked for the H & S executive (god help them!) then I wouldn't have said I would look into it. I would have said "we are obliged to look into all complaints, but in this case I am not going to because you are an a**e".

We live in a society filled with nutters fueled by more nutters inventing silly rules and helped along by grabbing sods who will help you sue anyone you like.
Don't need an accident, just make one up guys and money grabbing claims are us will sue them for you.
What a stupid waste of OUR cash investigating this case.

The rules are getting silly. All we need is for responsability for your actions being taken by your self.
It's no one elses fault if you burn yourself on hot tea while in a moving car. It's your own for being bloody silly.
