Ok, so not everybody but sooo many people I smile at and they just look through me, and I'm starting to get a bit sick of it now lol. When somebody smiles at me, I always think its polite and friendly to smile back!

I smile. A lot. Lots of the time.

I try and smile to at least one complete stranger a day. It makes you feel good especially if they smile back and especially if they are pretty! :D

Yes I agree with you sunshine! evrybody should smile more! when I'm walking past people I sometimes smile at them and what do I get? Nothing! I'm usually smiling all the time anyway cos I'm a very optimistic and happy person especially after the day I had yesterday! it was one of the best days of my life! So people should be more optimistic and smile more I reckon cos they'd look a lot prettier if they did!

I agree, I'm smiling most of my time even when i'm in a mood I try and put a happy face on. I don't know why people have to frown so much and give attitude - what exactly are they proving "look at me i'm hard:mad: " No mate your an idiot, get a life and be happy around others :thumbsup:

I've had a beautiful tarot reading from olliekitten- and also I've been very much entertained near enough the whole day as well so its climaxed very well this afternoon from this morning.

Well i went to Alton Towers with my college and there were all my friends that went!!it was a last year send off and it was absolutely brilliant! all me friends packed into our colleges mini-bus and we started singing all these songs all the way there at the top of our voices and we just had such a laugh at Alton Towers!!We went on loads of rides and scared ourselves silly in Duel cos this guy dressed in a black cloak and jumped out at us from a dark corner near the entrance of the ride! it was v funny! and a bit scary! I wish i could go back there right now!!

I'm the same and people say I'm always smiling but I think it's just that everyone else isn't.

It's even worse in London, not only do you not get a smile back, you get someone looking back at you like they're gonna punch you in the face if you don't look away sharpish!

That's another thing I love about Tenerife, the sun is out and people are always smiling and having fun. It's the way life should be :)

Smiling is great, don't get me wrong :) but why is it that people are so obsessed and so conscious of trying to remember to smile at strangers, when at the same time they're probably treating certain people amongst their friends or family (the latter is usually on the receiving end) quite disrespectfully or rudely? :(

It's an odd world :confused: In a similar way, why do people tidy up like crazy when someone's coming round to the house, but the rest of the time, live in a pigsty!?

i was walking down my road in ecclesall at about 8.30 and a pretty lady smiled at me and it just completely took me by surprise! i wasn't expecting her to be friendly so i kinda did a weird grimace that was trying to be a smile in a hurry :huh: i hope i didn't scare her hehe..

It's hard when people wave at me from cars, because you see a wave and then look for who it is, and by the time you've made a confused face at them, working out whether to wave back, they've gone past!

Maybe the best thing to do is just wave at everyone who wave at everyone who waves at you, regardless of whether you know them or not :D that way the worst that can happen is you wave at someone random who wasn't waving at you.. at least it'll make them smile :thumbsup: can't go wrong.

Course it isn't just you, even though most people won't wave for fear of embarrasment.. that's my theory anyway :D

If i'm in a car and I see someone I know I'll wave crazily with both arms, but it either isn't who I think it is or they never see me :rolleyes: oh well :)

I spent about 10 minutes waving at my old housemate as I was stood at the bus stop today - she appeared up at the window of her flat dancing with a shop dummy and dislocating various bits of its anatomy which was making me laugh to myself - I think the other people in the queue thought I was nutso :loopy:
