Not a native of Sheffield but planning a visit soon. Wanted to know what the name of the Sheffield tram system is and do they have a web site??

it was called "South Yorkshire Supertram" and now its called "Stagecoach Supertram"

And in all likelihood, never will be. That's the whole problem with tram systems; they can be run at a profit, sure, but they will never earn enough money to repay the cost of building them.

Unless it's considered a public good, the business case says don't bother.

When the body that is paying (not stagecoach they just take the money,) for them do so, and then order them and then wait about 2 years for them to be built.

Yes welcome to the forum.....I have to say that I use the tram an a regular basis....now.
Originally Sheffielders called it the Ghost Train..... on account it was grey.....and always empty.....................
