View Full Version : Germany, running out out of beer...
Could this be true? Germany running out of beer, football fans are drinking Germany dry! whats going to happen after Saturdays game ? England, win or loose it's going to be a disaster either way, I enjoy seing the riots really, bunch of idiots fighting each other over a "Game", these shirtless idiots with blood running down their noses:hihi: No point in asking why I suppose!
Lindseyw 29-06-2006, 12:35 That must be a serious amount of beer drunk then !!!!
What I don't understand is, why ? Why do footballe fans fight ? You don't see it anywhere else ..... Football is not in itself a violent game so why the hooliganism ???
RazorSHarp 29-06-2006, 12:35 Wouldn't worry about running dry, When i went to the England v Sweden game we went into a bar just down the road from the stadium and the beer was warm... :gag:
It was a relief once we were in the ground and they had lovely chilled beer on tap.
In the old days of local pubs, if they got a gang of loutish strangers in, intent on getting drunk and causing trouble, the landlord used to say, after they had drunk a few rounds 'Well thats it Lads. Youve drunk me dry'.
They then used to clear off feeling very proud of themselves.
The Gaffer then went down the cellar changed the barrel and carried on serving his regulars :D
Perhaps the Germans also know this trick :)

If they actualy emulated what happens on the pitch fans would spend most of their time hugging and kissing each other.
RunningFree 29-06-2006, 15:56 I was speaking to a german online the other night while playing on my xbox. he said he loved us english fans. he mentioned about us drinking all of the beer!

Maybe the glorious game attracts all the latent homosexuals in society that have to fight to ward off their confused emotions? :hihi:

LOL. Nice one.
I've just come back from Germany and the Germans absolutely love the English. Wherever we went the English were made to feel very welcome and some of the locals are even walking about in English shirts/shorts/whatever. They were very overtly friendly.
It certainly changed the perceptions of a few of the lads who were out there. I'm sure the welcoming nature of the host to the 100,000 or so Englanders, has led to the tournament being relativelt trouble-free from an English perspective...that and the fact England haven't been knocked out.

Good to hear. Time perhaps for TV companies to put all their old war films into the archives?
