On the first of December, Hannah Gibbins of Arbourthorne will be trecking to the base camp of mount everest which is approx 25,000 ft. She is doing this in aid of NEUROCARE at Hallamshire hospital, for people with brain tumours. She is hoping to raise money for a new piece of equipment called a 'brain wand'. This allows doctors to see the brain in 3D and will help to save more lives.
if you would like to donate or want anymore information, pls PM me and i will reply asap.

Isn't the base camp at about 18,000ft? Can I ask what the initial outlay cost is as well please? I'd be interested in giving sponsor ship if it is the tough 30 day walk, if however its one of the ones where you get to stay in really plush hotels I'd be a lot less interested :). I'm considering doing this later on next year, guided group tours are in the region of £2K which I think is more than reasonable for what is on offer. Thank you in advance.
Done some scouting it is over 17,000ft (so Google says). Still dizzying heights tho.
Minimum sponsorship of £2500 to be able to do it.:wow:
