I was wondering about that- is it possible to make a backup copy of an XP disc for people who have a genuine key for their PC?

I dont know though so I'll stay clear that kind of stuff though.

Not a problem as long as its for backup purposes and you own the original copy!
And as long as its nothing weird as well...

We do PC health and security advice, and other bits and bobs as well.
Although the VHS-DVD service is not up and running just yet- we are still working on that one at the moment, but it should be up and running VERY very soon.

We are just getting the equipment and everything sorted for it first so it wont be too long.

DVD duplication- depends how many copies you want doing of the DVD- if its just a one or two disc straight duplication- then £5 for a single disc and £8 for two discs.

I've just quoted someone for 50x double disc set £100- but thats because its a double disc set 50x + labels/covers/cases + costs it will cost me to do 100 discs worth though.. I think that is cheap when you consider the prices elsewhere :)

the prices sound better, didnt realise you did cover and CD print though - obviously that bumps the price up.

My mate works for Insight - but i know they have just done a promotion on these as he was telling me, they cost probably 1k+ as they are for big duplication, maybe holding upto 500 discs, ill get some more info if you need.

Yep we do, disc + disc label + cover art + case and also if there needs something specifically printing ie: personalised photo we offer personalisation as well.

By eck! A 500 disc copier.... now thats the mutts nutts!

Mine is only a 3-1 duplicator at the minute, but if all goes well, I'll be going for the 7-1 or 9-1 soon enough!

Nope, its one of those things that people think is true because they see it all over the place, the same as every website with ROMS available to download gives the disclaimer 'you may download this ROM only if you own the original, if you dont it must be deleted within 24 hours' Its illegal to do it, whether you own the original or not. The only things its legal to make copies of are things created in the first place by the user, ie wedding videos (assuming they filmed it themselves and didnt get a pro in to do it, in which case the copywrite is held by the pro), holiday vids etc.

That would line up with photocopying from library books if its for personal study or research.

If you have looked into this properly ANGELUS (which I doubt as you have not taken up hardly any of the suggestions on your previous thread on this subject), you will know all this.

Trading standards generally are massive on this at the moment and you don't want to appear on watchdog or something :nono:

Look for something (legal) that you are good at and stick to it...
