I heard a rumour that they are going to errect a big outdoor screen in the Peace Gardens like they did for the snooker for the Euro 2004 finals. I know Leeds are doing one.
Anyone know anything???????

I remember they had a giant screen up in Tudor Square (by the Crucible) for the England games in the World Cup. Not sure they'd be so keen to do it for afternoon or evening games this time though.
Was just listening to Radio Shef. They had a bloke on from the Leadmill. Apparently they are showing all the England games there - big screen and lots of tellys. Free to get in. Beer promotions etc. I heard good reports of it during the world cup.

I attended the leadmill during the world cup and it was a great atmosphere.
There was a big screen in the peace gardens a couple of weeks ago showing BBC news 24 but it's not there anymore. Perhaps they were testing it out?
so was there a big screen??

The BBC screen is on a national roadshow, it goes around promoting BBC programing and the council of the chosen Cities/towns get the perk of promoting any events they are holding. There will be no screen for the football unless a private funder comes in to do it. Best going to the Leadmill or a pub if you want big screen action.
