Ours is never delivered before lunch and I usually get post belonging to next door then!

The post at work used to arrive before 9.00am - now we're lucky if we've got it by 10.30am! Apparently though we could pay more to have it delivered earlier.

Much of my post had simply stopped arriving altogether. Even a registered parcel intended for me was "returned to sender", even though I was in all week and no card was put through my door.

I posted a birthday card first class in a box on West Street on Saturday May 29th, as of today Monday June 7th it has still not arrived in Norwich, which is not exactly a million miles away. Who knows some web sites for birthday e-cards?

A postie in Lancashire has just been sacked ...he'd 100.000s letters in his gaffe going back years. He wasn't nicking the stuff, just too lazy to deliver.
Now in London!!!!!!!!!

The late post is part of the Royal Mail's "rationalisation" of services. Our post now turns up any time after 1pm weekdays and Saturday. The idiot postmen manage to trample the bedding plants on their way to the front door and regularly drop next-door's letters into us. I'm thinking of getting a large and dangerous dog...

Good job I haven't ordered anything online, but then again I don't trust the post anyway even without recent goings on.... Eever since the last twice I won stuff on Ebay and the bloody things went "walkies" in the post BOTH times!

Once I could've excused but TWICE?! WTF?!

We used to get our post before 7am every morning. Now we're lucky if we get it before 2pm, which is not good when you're waiting in for an important delivery. And we're not getting all our post.
Royal Mail should be sacked, and the government should open a publicly run postal service that actually works. Every time I post a letter or parcel, I get a feeling of dread, and I wonder what will happen to it.
My advice - although it costs more, use recorded delivery for everything you send. That way, when they don't deliver it, you can claim £28 compensation. After buying yourself a few pints from the money, you wont be worrying so much any more!! And maybe after a while Royal Mail will realise they're actually losing money through being so incompetent, and will start screening applicants for jobs to weed out the thieves.

I believe they merged the 1st and 2nd posts a few weeks ago, would explain some mail being delivered later in the morning. 6.15pm seems unbelievable though.

I'm quite please with my mail service though I'd prefer it to arrive half an hour earlier so I got it before I leave for work, but I can't complain. I buy and sell quite a lot on Ebay and it all gets delivered.

I had a spate last month of about 4 packets of goods that I posted in the same post being lost. All were going to different destinations around the country - thankfully I kept a proof of postage and am claiming refunds.

Post arrives around 11am usually.

I wasn't complaining remember. It's the "so close" factor that does it for me. Like when I leave for work I can see the postman coming down the hill.

Frankly after living in my old house I'm just glad that I get mail at all.

Well I run an internet business on Ebay and post out about 100 items a week at least.....there is ALWAYS at least 1 item that goes AWOL for no explainable reason, and I send everything recorded or special delivery by default. In the last 6 months 57 items have mysteriously vanished without trace, and this is after the PO stamped the recorded/special delivery tabs in Sheffield as proof of posting.

Special Delivery Items gone missing?

Try track & Trace.

Don't use recorded.. waste of time.
