details on the accident that happened near the M1 jct 31 roundabout near Aston firestation on Saturday? I drove past and it looked a really bad one a couple of ambulances, police and fire engines. They where cutting the roof of a blue vauxhall when I went past just wandered if everyone was ok etc.

My girlfriend said that there was a "An Accident has occured here, any witnesses please phone 0114 2xxxxxx" sign there yesterday.

I've always been under the impression that they only put them there if a fatality had occured, so it might not have been very good.

You're right, those signs are for death and serious injury accidents.

Well it did look very serious the firemen where cutting a cars roof off when I went pass and there was a guy in the car with a neck brace on etc but I dont think it would be a fatality as there hasnt been anything in the news.

That happens a lot on that roundabout it seems worse if your coming from Worksop direction towards Aston where people stay in the left hand lane even thought they want the thirs exit onto the M1. I have seen a few bad accidents there, but this accident was not on the roundabout it was on the junction near the firestation.
