does anyone know the name of any companies who arrange days out visiting other like minded businesses?

We are implimenting lean manufacturing here and we would be interested in visiting other companies who have sucessfully integrated this system to view theresults and i swear there is a company who does this on a regular basis?

Try the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce. Can't beat a bit of sharing best practice, although one needs to understand that some competitors may not welcome you with open arms... Also, if you have relationships with your supply - chain and other vertical markets, they may be able to advise regarding similar practise.

I agree with the post above. I don't think that it's ethical to just dish out company secrets or methods. Though, if you approach the system vendor, they may have support groups or such likes for their clients to discuss issues with. Sometimes, such issues will become part of the modification specification of the system. So definitely worth asking the vendor about any support groups of this kind.
