Chris Waddle was the greatest ever left winger England ever had!!! Not Tom ( old footy was rubbish ) Finney!

Funny that, I don't seem to recall Waddle ever playing on the left. Everytime I saw him he was on the right.

Didn't he sort of roam from left to right and then centre and then back again? He had a much freer role than was given to others - because he was TRULY GREAT.

i'll remember Chris Waddle for 3 things

1) THAT penalty miss

2) having a permed mullet

3) the truly intoxicating track (or toxic of course) 'diamond lights' with whom he dueted with Mr. Hoddle

According to some bloke on channel four the other week - Chris Waddle ran like a Saturday night drunk!

He's still gorgeous and can be forgiven for all mullet wearing, penalty missing and toxic track releasing IMO.

ok beckb IYHO if it was a toss up *cough* between Chris Waddle and that other famous former permed mullet lover Kevin Keegan who would it be?

I remember him for 3 things too.

1) That free kick.

2) Player of the year

3) Sheff Weds Greatest ever player
