There might be a back issue dealing with the type of clothing you're after. Cols 05-06-2004, 16:33 I'd love to know myself so if you find out any info or web site, let us know. Did you know .... 5 years ago. 90% of M & S clothes were made in UK and 10% abroad. Now it's the other way round and this is due to fall further as Marks & China are set to cut costs further. garrence 07-06-2004, 18:14 Hi Rosie Try the UK no sweatshop campaign site (http://www.nosweat.org.uk/) for info. Garments should have a label in them saying where they are made, but I think that the World Trade Organisation has again acted in the interests of no-one except big business by making that optional. Avoid GAP because they're pretty bad for sweatshops. noseyrosie 07-06-2004, 19:52 I wouldn't touch GAP with a bargepole...especially as I don't own one... spook 14-06-2004, 14:06 hey, Gap are great! jackthedog 14-06-2004, 14:18 Try Howies. Those guys are great. Order a catologue on-line and there's loads of stuff in there about the way they work and run things. Really good quality products, and a geat company to deal with by all accounts. Find them at http://www.howies.co.uk genesiscouch 14-06-2004, 16:32 If you buy tailor made you won't have any guilt :D |
