There might be one oposite Hyde Park tram stop but not sure! I also think there's one in Scunthorpe but that might be a bit far!!

Its at the back of "saba com" on the industrial units opposite hyde park.

Go up broad st from ponds forge roundabout, through the traffic lights at hyde park tramstop, and its the 2nd turn on the right, it leads onto a short fairly steep road and the pet store is the 1st one on the right

Anyone know if this place is still open and if so what does it sell, looking for guinea pig stuff and hutches?

Or not, years ago we used to buy all our dog food from him. He used to package up the feed whilst warm in plastic bags, decanting them later into paper bags. Whilst the food was in the plastic bags it could, and in one instance did, go off and very nearly killed one of Dragon's dogs - and he accepted no responsibility!!!!!

Batleys in doncaster although you will need to take proof that you are in business to get in there

Batleys has its own pet section but need proof before they will let you in and join.

You also need to spend £100 cash only on every visit at Batleys Pet for however many visits they deem you worthy. They may then allow you to pay by business cheque. There is a good selection of stuff, but I found buying online cheaper and more convenient tbh, besides I do not always wish to spend £100 each visit.

Do you know what it's called and do you have to have a business or be a member, or can anyone just go in?

We have only just opened an account there (in Jan), the first time we went we only spent £40 (it was the day we opened the account so really just went to check it out) and no one mentioned the minimum spend thing.

To open the account we had to provide invoices made out to the club, statements from the bank, the cheque book and the business credit card (which we have never even activated)!.

I had a nightmare when I joined (Oct last year) I visited a total of three times and opened a business account on the first visit, they made me spend over £100 each time and I couldnt use a cheque so I stopped going. I had to go to the nearby tesco to withdraw over £400 and leave my trolley as they said I couldnt use a cheque until I had been with them a while.

How odd, are we talking about the same Batleys (Doncaster) - we went and opened the account but had to pay cash the first time, the second time (a fortnight ago, just after all the snow), we could use the cheque book as our account was open. He was very funny about opening our account as he thinks we just train agility - we dont we train obedience, hold puppy parties, do flyball and gundog training AND hold our own agility shows every year, and have a shop - pretty much of a business wouldn't you say??

It was odd and peed me off tbh. I produced all the relevant docs and verified the business, no problems at all with that side of things. Maybe they have eased off a bit now then.
