Hello everyone,
I'm moving to Sheffield in September and I'm having problems finding a rented property to live in with my house rabbit - landlords in general seem to be very reluctant to take her :( I was wondering if anyone lives in Sheffield in a rented property with an animal, and if so, could they offer me any contact details for pet friendly landlords?
I can't understand it because a well looked after animal is always clean and not messy, and rabbits are hardly a noisy disturbance! But all the agencies just don't seem to get it..ah well.
Thanks anyone for advice!

hi siany,

Good luck - I don't know as I don't live in rented accomodation (and we have two dalmatians and two cats lol) but I will try and find out from friends I know who live in rented properties. I know one lady who lives in rented accomodation with two dogs!

Perhaps if you suggest to the landlords that you will pay for any damage and make sure that it will all be dealt with by yourself they may be less reluctant?

I live in private rented accomodation, managed by a letting agent. We have 8 bunnies (two house) 2 rats and 2 snakes. Landlord is unaware we have so many bunnies though. I am also a student working parttime. we live in the nethergreen area but our flat costs a bomb!

HI

We lived in a rented house for a while with guinea pigs and fish. We used Mike jolly estates www.mjestate.co.uk. We literally didn't mention our pets until the very last minute after we had been approved to live in the house. We had no problems and our guineas live indoors and they were ok with that. Their has been some pretty negative threads about the letting agnecy but i have to say we had no problems with them.

Hope you find somewhere
Helen
