Does anyone know who owns that large bright green bus that goes around Sheffield?
I saw it the other day passing the University area and it was smoking like mad. It was really thick and surely not within legal limits. I had to seal the car as it stank and you could see pedestrians staring at the cause of the black cloud and it went up the road.
I think they need a quick email suggesting they consider servicing it asap because it can't be healthy breathing all that in.
It sounds like it is part of the fleet of buses branded 'brightbus' that is used on various school bus service contracts. I think they are probably owned by Mass Transit.
I suggest a complaint to SYPTE may be appropriate?

I think it did have some word on the side of it, not sure if it was brightbus, but I'm pretty sure it had writing on it. I was concentrating on the traffic and trying to see through the clouds in front of me so didn't really pay too much attention to the writing on it. The pedestrians in that part of town seem to enjoy jumping in front of cars, so you have to be careful.

I think the Vehicle Inspectorate are the appropriate body to contact as it is an offence to operate a PCV or HGV with emissions that are out of certain parameter.
Did you get it's numberplate? Was it old enough to be smoking??? :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:
It reckon it'll be Bright Bus. I regularly see them broken down with a puddle of oil underneath. The twin axle double deckers I believe, are from Hong Kong, they bring them to the UK because they won't pass the stringent MoT's in Hong Kong. All this to transport children about .... scary??? Not to mention the drivers who seem to be elderly with baseball hats on with a roll up fag in their mouths.
This reminds me of a few years ago, we were on our way to my grans funeral in West Yorkshire, on the way up we were following a bus which was chucking out a load of rubbish - appropriatly enough the number plate read "Fumy"!!!! rather apt!!
