Joint on woodseats....oh god they are the best.

I went in the other day and had panini, i had chicken (which was a fresh cooked chicken breast which they cut up onto the sandwich) coriander pesto, mozzorella cheese and red onion. It was someting like £2.50 and was huge, i shared the rest with my bloke! :-)

Bragazzi Abbeydale Rd - Fab Italian a smallish range but everything top notch.

Buon Deli - Broomhill, Ranmoor Deli, Sapore - Woodseats, Dore Deli.

Masses of ethnic shops on Abbeydale/London Rd - Turkish/Polish/Chinese/Indian.........

Votes for Bragazzi's (really good Italian stuff, though it can be expensive) and the greedy greek - their hummus is fantastic.

Hello Deli, on Oakbrook Road is good, run by ebullient Greek, Peter. Complements the well managed Hangingwater Stores round the corner nicely. Ranmoor Deli run by Attilio, is a good Italian deli. Shop local, it's good for the soul.

Anyone know where i could get really good quality cheeses? I used to live in bath, and there we had paxton & whitfields and the originally named 'the cheese shop.' I'm currently craving stinking bishop or some really high quality brie de meux.

cheers

There is a cheese shop opposite the church on Ecclesall Road - Silver Hill Dairy - It used to be excellent but I've heard mixed reports recently. Worth a try. Waitrose is good too if you go for the stuff from the cheese counter, they'll let you try it too.

Hi random thread but is ther anyone in Sheffield That owns a deli or specialist food shop that would like to sell the famous Cartmel Sticky Toffee Pudding. I work for the company and at the moment we are trying to find new customers if you e-mail me on florahouston@hotmail.com I can tell you more about our product range.

I went here for my Christmas Cheese Board (it deserves capitals!) and was very impressed, on range, quality and price.

Service was a little slow and vague, especially on a busy day right before Christmas, but it was good nonetheless!

If it's City Centre you require http://www.urbandeli.co.uk/delicatessen.html on Campo Lane, it prides itself on stocking all locally sourced produce.

I agree with Bragazzi's too, it's excellent if you need top end Italian ingredients.

Also http://www.foodandfinewine.com/food.asp on Ecclesall Road great selection of produce and some fantastic wines too.

If you get a chance go over to Chatsworth Farm Shop at Pilsley, a great deli and also a fantastic butchers.

Philpotts (sp) on Campo lane is a good little deli. We use them for our courses and meetings at work, always put on a nice spread. Sometimes use them in my dinner hour.
