I went in the other day and had panini, i had chicken (which was a fresh cooked chicken breast which they cut up onto the sandwich) coriander pesto, mozzorella cheese and red onion. It was someting like £2.50 and was huge, i shared the rest with my bloke! :-) xxx pete_jim 20-06-2006, 09:45 Give us a clue as to what you want? Ranmoor Deli run by Attilio, is a good Italian deli. Shop local, it's good for the soul. the white rose 06-07-2007, 14:59 Give us a clue as to what you want? I used to live in bath, and there we had paxton & whitfields and the originally named 'the cheese shop.' I'm currently craving stinking bishop or some really high quality brie de meux. cheers katkin 06-07-2007, 16:57 we used to have a fab deli AND a fab cheese shop on Sharrowvale road- sadly both gone now...Is that one at Broomhill still going? they did the most amazing cream cheese n bagesl pete_jim 07-07-2007, 10:33 There is a cheese shop opposite the church on Ecclesall Road - Silver Hill Dairy - It used to be excellent but I've heard mixed reports recently. Worth a try. Waitrose is good too if you go for the stuff from the cheese counter, they'll let you try it too. FloraHouston 24-01-2008, 20:03 Hi random thread but is ther anyone in Sheffield That owns a deli or specialist food shop that would like to sell the famous Cartmel Sticky Toffee Pudding. Waitrose is good too if you go for the stuff from the cheese counter, they'll let you try it too. I went here for my Christmas Cheese Board (it deserves capitals!) and was very impressed, on range, quality and price. Service was a little slow and vague, especially on a busy day right before Christmas, but it was good nonetheless! TS-B 25-01-2008, 09:37 If it's City Centre you require http://www.urbandeli.co.uk/delicatessen.html on Campo Lane, it prides itself on stocking all locally sourced produce. I agree with Bragazzi's too, it's excellent if you need top end Italian ingredients. Also http://www.foodandfinewine.com/food.asp on Ecclesall Road great selection of produce and some fantastic wines too. If you get a chance go over to Chatsworth Farm Shop at Pilsley, a great deli and also a fantastic butchers. jon&emma 25-01-2008, 18:09 I used to work near the swan, fab deli, especially their fresh baguettes :D its very cheep as well ,if your down the cliff try the swan deli Optimum 18-07-2009, 13:54 the dore deli has recently re-opened, it's called feast@doredeli now with a new website coming soon the delicatessen in Dore (http://www.doredeli.co.uk) iDan 18-07-2009, 18:28 Philpotts (sp) on Campo lane is a good little deli. We use them for our courses and meetings at work, always put on a nice spread. Sometimes use them in my dinner hour. Jenny_Harris 18-07-2009, 19:26 Deli on the Wicker |
