i hear it said a lot from freinds in relationships that theres a so called honeymoon period in a relationship and that it does eventually end. what do you all think do relationships have honeymoon periods and when do you realize its ended is it when everything calms down a bit or when your comfortable with each other like when youve found out everything there is to know about your partner? :help:

I suppose the 'honeymoon period' ends when you stop wanting to be together EVERY SECOND and start to realise that fresh air and mates are also important :hihi:

In other ways the honeymoon period never has to end if you keep reminding each other that you are special and surprises for each other and things. It can be a shame but it is also when you realise if you are really compatible for each other or whether it was just a physical attraction in which case you will fall at the first hurdles.

The honeymoon period IMO has to end as this is when couples cant see clearly. But as mnetioned by Kathy, it oftens happens when couples want that bit of independance or when they stop humping like randy rabbits :D

The honeymoon is over when the husband calls home to say he'll be late for dinner and the answering machine says it is in the microwave.

How Was the Honeymoon?

A young couple got married and left on their honeymoon. When they got back, the bride immediately called her mother. "Well," said her mother, "so - how was the honeymoon?"

"Oh, mama," she replied, "the honeymoon was wonderful! So romantic..." Suddenly she burst out crying. "But, mama, as soon as we returned Sam started using the most horrible language - things I'd never heard before! I mean, all these awful 4-letter words! You've got to come get me and take me home... PLEASE MAMA!"

"Sarah, Sarah," her mother said, "calm down! Tell me, what could be so awful? WHAT 4-letter words?"

"Please don't make me tell you, mama," wept the daughter, "I'm so embarrassed - they're just too awful! COME GET ME, PLEASE!!!"

"Darling, baby, you must tell me what has you so upset... Tell your mother these horrible 4-letter words!"

Still sobbing, the bride said, "Oh, mama...words like: Dust, Wash, Iron, Cook..."! :D
