if anyone knows of a great place to go, safe aswell, where you can see the sky really well at night, meaning stars n stuff like that, a romantic spot its for some one speial. thanks duck eggs

Don_Kiddick 19-06-2006, 18:52 My back garden :thumbsup: Phanerothyme 19-06-2006, 18:55 If you want to see stars (i.e the Milky Way)you really need to get out of England - West wales, Northwest scotland etc. If you don't want to travel too far, i'd say travel North and position yourself somewhere in the middle of saddleworth moor, but you are still going to miss most stars due to urban glow from Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield etc. Also, check the moon, and don't go out on a full or gibbous moon. And give yourself at least 30 minutes of darkness to let your eyes acclimatise. bartender 20-06-2006, 03:57 If you go to Crystal in town you can take your wife out, and still see the stars ;) We have a glass roof...
