think u hav 2 b 16 try hairdressers i did that wen i was younger it fun get her bit of cash gd luck
I got my first job as a 'saturday girl' at 14, although it wasn't in sheffield.
If she is hard working and mature in her outset then I'm sure she could get a job. Try small local companies, such as a local florist who could maybe do with a bit of extra help at the weekend for instance.

Staci, I think people need to be 16 to get a job because you need a NI nunber even for just Sat work.Don,t give up hope though.
I worked in a hairdressers when i was 14, 5 years ago..not sure if they'd still employ 14 year olds..hardly got paid a penny, i think i got more doing a paper round!!

Strictly speaking under 16s are only allowed to do a very limited range of paid work and at very specific times of the day/week. The law really does limit under 16s to jobs such as paper rounds. Shops (certainly reputable shops anyway), will not employ anyone under 16.

topshop used to employ 15 year olds
If you get on the website and look under Employment Act for Children it will tell you the ages and hours children can legally work during term time and holiday time and the weekends plus the forms that require completing and informing the school.
