Thought I'd lighten the mood with a somewhat trivial thread...

Which way do you put toilet roll on the holder thingy? So that you pull it from the top, i.e. the paper comes moves AWAY from the wall as you pull from the front and tear off? Or so that you pull from the bottom, i.e. the paper moves TOWARDS the wall as you pull from the bottom and tear off? This is as about as clearly as I can explain it without diagrams

i generally go 4 the away from the wall method it stops me scraping my hands on the artex. just 2 add doesit only happen 2 me but does any body have a problem getting a toilet roll started. i always seem 2 end up with it tearing all over the place and loose half the roll. its 1 25 in the morning and im banging on bout bog roll f--- me im sad.

Can't believe they now sell tiolet roll on the basis that it has vitamin E in it. It is for your backside your not gonna be eating it. Sorry but i think this is a really funny. :D

I occasionally configure it so that the paper feeds under the drainage pipe which goes to the sink, then under the water pipe and back around the drainage pipe again.

Only if I'm sitting on the loo for a considerable amount of time and get bored that it...

I certainly don't have it so it pulls from the bottom I have it on a proper roller.

I prefer the usage of the 'up-and-over' English configuration in my bathroom. This method means that the hand has slightly less distance to travel to retrieve the required quantity of loo roll.

I am very efficient and this conserves energy for more important tasks such as the opening, lifting and tipping of Stella cans.

Im definately the over the top kinda gal
In fact if I go to someone's house and their's is feeding under then I feel it is my duty to turn the roll round the right way :D

also another toilet roll enquiry - has anyone seen the scented toilet roll holders you can get from Kleeneze and Betterware and the like :?

One question... why?????
does it make all the difference if your loo roll smells of pot pourri :loopy:

Whats the Crack here then? I dont like pulling from the bottom it makes my eyes water sometimes - abit like the tracing paper we used to wipe our backsides on at school! anyone remember? even though you scrunched it up as much as p[ossible to soften it there was always on sharp bit which made you cry with pain . . :o ooh the memories ( Shiver )

Can you get some with G.W.Bush on it? I'd even try for three dumps a day if you could!!!

My dad had a method for using less loo roll..........

anyone else suffer from uneven toilet roll?
You know when u rip it it and the top layer is shorter than the bottom layer, so you have to separate the layers and wind the top one round and round until theyre the same length and then tear.......

I saw it on HOW2 once - seriously important info for the under 10s

also why is it so difficult for some people to put a new bog roll on when they used up the last one???? They leave it with all of 2 sheets and do they put a new one on??? who do they think changes it the toilet roll pixie?????

rant over

This is soo true, the fairy that fills up the spares holder, hangs the new roll (instead of leaving them sat on something else) and disposes of the old inner.

Could be the same fairy that always cleans the loo too.

You know the one that gives the signal that the sink is also clean and ready for blokes to trim beards/shave and leave the bits in.

It is wierd.:P :P

What on earth were you doing when you dug up this thread? :hihi: What I'm even more surprised about is that t020 started it. You'd think it was far too trivial a topic for him to bother with. Nice to see some of the golden oldies in the thread too. Mosherchik and Sam Miguel to name a couple of classics.

Whatever happened to them? :(

You'd be surprised at the special qualities of even bog-standard roll....

Don't forget the bloke who was constantly pestered for months on end by his wife who "desperately wanted" a bigger bust. He couldn't afford it, and told her so over-and-over again.
Time after time, week after week, she whined on about it until the day came that he could take no more.....
"Look! I've told you hundreds of times! No! No! No! Why keep on?!
Try another method!
Rub your cleavage with toilet paper three times a day for three months and see what the result is!"
Stunned at his outburst, she then asked "Why? Will it make my breasts bigger?"
"Well," he replied, "it certainly worked on your arse........"

is there a decent bog roll that doesnt leave bits of broken tissue behind. I get sick of having bits tissue stuck to me bits. i have tried lots different ones . I think i may have to design a bog that after u do your biz then u flush and it washes your bits.
tee hee tee hee.

Has to be from the top, if I go at someone's house and it's the wrong way round, I make a point of using their towel instead!
