View Full Version : So groovsters, any wonderful people want to rehome a CPL kitten?
Birth-Peace 17-06-2006, 19:21 Helloooooo,
As many of you know I am fostering kittens for the cats protection league. I currently have three delightful ginger kittens. One of the little ones has already been reserved (possibly) by Em.
The other two are about ten weeks old and chubby little things. One is very fluffy and all ginger and the other is ginger and white.
The Cats Protection League do have very high standards of who they allow to adopt their cats, but basically if you are going to give them a loving home and are a good person, then you are a definite candidate for adopting a kitten that will give you many, many years of joy.
There is a fee that will go straight to the Cats Protection League.
Pm me if interested.
Oh and if there are any cat haters who want to share their feelings... start your own thread!
Birth-Peace 17-06-2006, 20:23 Come on cat lovers. Anyone want to give a good home to a kitten?
Birth-Peace 17-06-2006, 21:37 Feel free to comment on here too.
My friend has said that I now sound desperate, but please talk to me, Im a billy no mates (well except for one but he says Im desperate, so what sort of a friend is he????????? I love him really)
but anyway anyone want a kitten
from the freakish little woman x
weenireeni 17-06-2006, 21:45 i'd love a little kitten, but as i already have two cats my boyf wont let me :(
any ideas how to persuade him.....?
pattricia 17-06-2006, 21:49 I dont need a kitten, but just giving you another reply. If I hear of anyone who wants one I will let you know.
Aw I wish I could have one but my two get very jealous if I even look at another cat and it wouldnt be fair!
I'd love a little kitten though, hope they find good homes Ollie, Good Luck!
purdyamos 17-06-2006, 22:38 I've PMed you already, but just to state publicly (and to bump the thread, lol) that I'd love to scoop up one your lil poppets, but my cat quota is full at the mo. :(
Can you sort of make them stay tiny kittens for the foreseeable future, then when there's a vacancy I'll recruit a new feline for Kibble Heights? :D
...any ideas how to persuade him.....?
Yes. Tell him you're getting a kitten, and he can either like it or it will be him who'll be sleeping in the cat basket and eating Whiskas. The choice is his :D .
Im alergic to cats, so sorry, but its def a big NO! x
Birth-Peace 17-06-2006, 23:57 Thank you for all your replies.
I'll put pics of them up tomorrow, when my hubbie is awake.
OllieK
I would love to adopt a kitten, and ginger cats are especially gorgeous (aren't they all though?). Unfortunately, I don't think my current two would take kindly to a small fluffy interloper invading their territory.
I hope you soon find lovely homes for them though.
Birth-Peace 18-06-2006, 12:54 The kittens are still doing very well.
Although the poor little ginger baby, who is called Ghaiyas, seems lonely as he always stays away from the other bigger kittens.
Bless his heart
weenireeni 18-06-2006, 13:53 Yes. Tell him you're getting a kitten, and he can either like it or it will be him who'll be sleeping in the cat basket and eating Whiskas. The choice is his :D .
cool thats him sorted, now just my two spoilt cats to sort out, don;t think the same threat will work in them somehow :D
amandakm 18-06-2006, 13:53 three kids, three dogs, two cats, fish, hoardes of visiting kids/teenagers, Sorry my youngest spotted this thread and we're now at a stand-off, she wants another cat, her dad is adamant that we're having no more permanent residents in our average semi. I'm in the middle. Middle child wants another dog, if we have a kitten we'll end up with another puppy. Could we please post these threads invisibly in future.
Birth-Peace 18-06-2006, 13:55 Sorry, tell your child that these kittens are actually children eating terrors :)
shoeshine 18-06-2006, 14:03 Olliekitten, would offer the kitten a good home here but we have three rescue cats already, adults all, and couldn't cope with another, especially a kitten.
It's a full time job just feeding them.......
They all have food fads, different personalities etc but can be so rewarding to own.
Good luck with little Ginger!
Birth-Peace 19-06-2006, 09:32 Here are some pictures of the little ones.
Ghaiyas has now pretty much got a home with two lovely forum users.

spangler 19-06-2006, 13:22 These are great kittens. I am looking for another feline having just lost my gorgeous old cat. BUT he was a ginger and white and they just look tooooo much like him. I shall be contacting the CPL soon. I have builders coming in soon, so shall wait til they've finished and then shall consult with remaining cat about new inmate.
Ginger_Kitty 19-06-2006, 13:27 Ghaiyas is the most adorable little kitty in the world... and so far i've only seen his pic... but i think he might have to be my new baby :)
I'll come visit him this week :D
PIF_Tails 19-06-2006, 13:34 *bump*
Tobin and andre are just beautiful, all the best rehoming them :)
What does "rehome" mean? Does this imply that they already have a home that is in some way unsuitable or something?
Birth-Peace 19-06-2006, 14:31 KenH, all the kittens did have unsuitable homes, hence why they ended up at the Cats Protection League. I foster them until I can find them good homes to go to permanently.
I would keep them all but my husband already fears that I am turning into 'Crazy Cat' lady.
Birth-Peace 19-06-2006, 14:33 PIF_tails,
Tobin and Andre are lovely and so affectionate. Andre is far more boisterous, while Tobin prefers to just sit back and watch the others play.
Ghaiyas has become quite feared by my soppy cat Sydney and was seen this morning chasing him upstairs - a comical sight as Sydney is more than triple Ghaiyas' size.
Id love a cat but we have no cat flap and my landlord wouldnt allow it! :(
PIF_Tails 19-06-2006, 15:02 PIF_tails,

LOL, Don't encourage me !!!
My husband has such a soft spot for ginger cats but with a full house of eight rescue (including two tamed down ferals) cats in our home and a baby on the way in August..... It will be many many years before we'll be adopting any more cats.
Aww, Tobin is gorgeous!
I would love to rehome another cat but sadly, my cat isn't fond of other felines and I'd be terrified that she'd beat up a kitten every chance she got :(
Ginger_Kitty 19-06-2006, 15:40 hehe she's bad enough at beating up certain moderators ;)
oh and there's a fair chance we might end up with more than one of these lil cuties :D
weenireeni 19-06-2006, 17:20 hi olliekitten, im still trying to win my boyfriend round, but am def intersetd in kitten!
what is the fee to the cpl? my current two are from cpl, but as they were dircet rehome i just donated towards cost of neutering, is taht similar with these cats?
they're all soo gorgeous! which one do you think would get on best with my two daft cats?
Birth-Peace 21-06-2006, 20:24 Well little Ghaiyas and Andre have a lovely new home, just waiting till they get a little bigger. Thank you to Torrin8 and Em3978, and lovely meeting everyone else too x lol
weenireeni 21-06-2006, 20:44 does tobin still need a home? when is he ready to rehome?
thanks :)
Birth-Peace 21-06-2006, 20:47 There is kinda a queue forming for Tobin, with me sort of in that queue.
If you pm me sweetie I can give you the number of the Cats Protection League Mummy.
She has got a very long haired ginger and white one, who sounds adorable and a beautiful brindle persian lady cat who needs a lot of love.
pinklady 21-06-2006, 21:09 I cant re-home another pet because my husband has informed me that if i adopt 1 more animal, he's leaving, as tempting as this offer is, he does pay the morgage, so I'm stuck with him :hihi:
Just wanted to tell you all that i adopted a cat from CPL over 13 yrs ago, he's aprox 15 yrs old now and been a fab pet. Dont let the fees put u off, it seems expensive but they do wonders with the money they receive, my cat was rescued from a boarded up house (previous owned had moved out, leaving the cat locked under the stairs) he was barely alive and had to have emergency medical treatment. He has spent the last 13 yrs making up for his bad start by sleeping ... a lot ... and eating ... a lot, but i love him.

Aww, the little kittens were gorgeous! Lovely to meet both OllieKitten and Rich too!
How much would I have to donate to CPL for Harry?! :P Hehe... I'm just teasing, but he is an absolutely lovely cat :)
Birth-Peace 22-06-2006, 13:32 Tracie, Harry absolutely loved you too. He is normally really rather rude to strangers so it was lovely to see him take to you so quickly.
Feel free to pop round again to see him and have a coffee x x
Rachel
By the way, to everyone else, there are many kittens still needing homes.
Pm me for further details.
At the CPL there is the most beautiful white cat and her little white kitten. They really are beautiful and desperately need a new loving home together.
