I woke up this morning and started to run a bath, when I went back into the bathroom the water that had run was a light brown colour. I tried the sink taps and toliet flush and they were also brown.

I tried the mains tap in the kitchen and it was running clear, I did not have time to investigate further as I had to go to work.

I have called Yorkshire Water and they think it is a internal problem. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Do I need to run the water off for a while or just call out a plumber?

I live in the Longley area but do not think it is affecting the area as a whole as my mains is clear.

Brown water is usually in internal problem.

No, why do you ask? I don't think we have drunk the water as it was ok before I went to bed.

No, but i've been shi*ting in other peoples baths for weeks
