View Full Version : Water leak on Brightside Lane still not repaired
Don_Kiddick 12-06-2006, 20:08 I reported this leak bubbling up out of the road almost a month ago now to Yorkshire Water and nothing has been done about it.
The girl assured me it would be attended to within 2 working days.
It's on the corner by the traffic lights where Forgemasters is opposite Jessops Riverside bisiness park.
How annoying is that?

Don_Kiddick 13-06-2006, 00:37 Hey deej - how dangerous is a wet road to motorbikists?
This leaky is right on the bend too

Actually its BLOODY dangerous, especially if its near a roundabout (oil / diesel and water :nono: )
About time the council got their finger out of their collective bums.
Don_Kiddick 13-06-2006, 00:54 Exactly my point my friend.
A month I tell you and nil action.
Dj_Shadowman 13-06-2006, 01:01 Will be on the dog and bone in the morning
MuteWitness 13-06-2006, 06:37 i work opposite that - my work turn off is just before that but when i continue to on to get some snap from the petrol station its terrible especially on the motorbike!
But i cant see were the actually leak is or if the drains are blocked.
I've reported it as well! It's been going on for a couple of weeks now, and despite Yorkshire Water "work"men turning up twice to having a look, it's not been mended. Maybe it's going to be a feature:
Brightside Water Gardens - come on in, the water's lovely!
Don_Kiddick 13-06-2006, 22:18 f_g, the water is bubbling up through a previous sunken patch or repaired tamac, pretty much in the middle of the road.
I'm apalled to hear I'm not the only one to report this, and still nothings been done :help:
Maybe it's time to phone the Star...
Do it Don... they might come and take on of those standard Star pictures, where you point at the offending article with a concerned look.
UPDATE!!! Men in a van in attendance, and some of them have shovels.
(obviously, only one man is actually shovelling, and the others are leaning. It's a start though).
Sheffield Forum... "Getting things done"
Don_Kiddick 23-06-2006, 13:44 Yorkshire water has informed me that they will be undertaking essential work in our area (Brightside Lane) and the may need to turn the water supply off on Sunday 25th June between the hours of 08:00 to 11:55
