What decides a man to grow a beard and sideburns? how awfull they look with thick greasy matted hair all around their mouths.

It must pong a bit especially when they have been eating and drinking, also, facial hair never looks as if it has been properly trimmed, it makes a man look scruffy as though he has not had a bath or a wash.

Also, a man looks much older with hair all over his face, I should say it puts ten years on his appearance. How does a woman feel about this? is she happy to be seen with such a man and what about kissing him?

It brings to mind a joke; would you like to kiss me Darling? and the classic answer; no thank you I would rather be shot than poisoned!!!

Most women I know say it's not a turn on...but hey, there must be some out there who love hairy blerks.

Reading Hal's comments put me in mind of Roal Dahl's 'The Twits' one of my favourite childrens books but thats another story. :D

I wouldn't say that a beard was a turn on, but some of the most interesting
chaps I've met have had them.

Needs to be tidy though. Don't see many beards these days

Errr i hate beards. Stubble is bad enough but beards are disgusting. I always think if you grow a beard you must have something to hide. I bet all bits of food get stuck in it. Its the only bit a man should shave. Not shaving is idle..women have to do way more to look presentable the least a man can do is shave.

No way! Tashes are well dodgy!

* I realise that by stating the above, I've probably just insulted a large proportion of the population of Sheffield

i definitely go with the idea that having a beard is having something to 'hide behind'.

Also it is distracting to be talking to someone when you spot foor in their beard. I always spend the time trying to guess what it is, and completely tune out what the beardy is saying

I have tried the lot, apart from the full blown David Bellamy beard.

Tash Only - This came of after working for a while in London, anybody with a Tash in London is either Gay or a Northerner.

Beard - Goaty Only - This was OK for a while but it became a pain keeping it trim and in shape

Now No Facial Hair - Feels much cleaner and better, but it is a pain shaving everyday, roll on the day you can just apply a cream or take a tablet to stop facial hair growing.

What about women with facial hair, anybody like this? Is it a turn on?, I have a neighbour who has a bigger tash than me.

I prefer having no facial hair at all. As for women with facial hair?!

Recent article on Ananova suggested that in parts of Romania facial hair on women is a big turn on as it shows a high level of testosterone which implies they will breed lots of babies.

Men with facial hair? Don't care, never likely to have to kiss one or get close enough to determine what they had for their last 4 meals.
