Saw it this afternoon - fab special effects, fairly decent acting and plot. Shame about final scene, which I'd have left on the editing room floor. Otherwise fab IMHO

Predictable and unoriginal format and stereotypical (American male hero with a personal reason for wanting to save the world, the british accepting everything without fuss, the japanese running around like headless chickens. The effects were good, it was like you were there and i did enjoy it. Id recommend seeing it if you wanted to watch a film and get what youre given without having to think or figure things out.

I was going to go and see this last night, but the queues were out of the door, so we came home instead. I'll go and see it in the next few weeks though.

A mate of mine told me he'd been to see and said it was crap, said it was all special effects and not much else really.

I thought it was a great movie. I'm a big fan of special effects and thought it really made the movie.

At the end of the day it's an action movie and most are pretty thin as far as originality go.... unless you're the Matrix.

The part with LA being ripped to shreads I thought was tip top!

Not bad I thought. Special effects were fantastic especially the tornados in LA.

Plot was unorignal in the extreme thought- theyd got the hollywood book of disaster movie cliches and shoehorned every one in there. The kid with cancer that can't leave the hospital or he'll die for instance.

Premise was great tho- coudl it really happen cos it sounded believable.

dissapointing - maybe i saw too many trailers and had seen all the good effects before!

although i think the characters were more evolved than i'd been led to believe - i did have some empathy with them

probably a 6 outta 10

Total waste of £5.10 and 2 hours of my life. If you've seen the trailer you've seen all the good special effects.

Reasons to hate it:

1) Sad 'rescue the kid' plot.
2) The same official in power who says "this disaster is not going to happen" that you get in all these films.
3) The Brits need the Americans help as we're so rubbish.
4) All the people who you think will live do and all the ones you think will die die. So predicatable.
5) Rip-off of The Posieden Adventure in places.

I only went to see it because I thought it would be cold in the cinema?

It was so cliched and the bit with the wolves was a joke.

I didnt like the turbulance scene as Im not a good flyer at the best of times!

it wasnt the worse movie and i wouldnt tell anyone not to see it but it was an average story line but i did like the effects in it probably worth seeing to get out of the sun

I think it would have been a great film if they'd have finished it.

Was a bit like "OMG THE WHOLE WORLDS COMING TO AN END, THERE IS NO WAY OUT" and then suddently it's like "Ah look the clouds have cleared isn't it nice outside."
