am I on my own here on despising big brother? I'm dreading it, weeks of crap TV taking the place of anything decent that may have been on. I'm sure there's a conspiracy with other channels too. they always seem to have crap on as well, trying to force you to watch BB. Last year i was fortunate enough to be out of the country for the duration.
Apart from the fact that TV will be pants, everyone will be talking about it. So if i go to the pub to get away from it, everyone in the pub will be talking about it. Arrrrrgggghhhh! It'll be in the papers too! you can't escape. Maybe burying myself in the ground could be the way to go.

Personally, i can't wait for the euro championships to start, so that we have something good to talk about over our beers.

Big Brother is bad television. I know its garbage but I always get drawn into it and end up watching more than I should.
Perhaps there's a support group I could join for addicts of really bad television....

Rubbish rubbish rubbish.

I did watch some of one a couple of years ago. Worst thing was that people seemed to avoid having a decent conversation fo rfear of alienating the voting public.

I think there's more important things to complain about to be honest.

There is, but this is only light hearted really and about a tv program. Not really as stressed as i may sound.

If you don't like it don't watch it. I bet the viewing figures are really bolstered by people who actually really dislike it. The only way this terrible sh*te is going to go away is if people don't watch it.

Sidla
27-05-2004, 19:38
But it won't happen. People do watch it, and people will watch it, and people enjoy it. Like you say if you don't like it then don't watch it, but I don't see the point of going on about how s*** it is; as long as there are enough people that enjoy watching it, it will stay.

I have no intention of watching any of it, however my housemate will want to (something to do with being female i think), which means i'll have to avoid the tv completely. I will also get annoyed by the ammount of people talking about it when there's far more interesting things to talk about. Just wish it didn't have to go on for 10 weeks.

Oi! I happen to be of the female persuasion and I hate the voyeristic load of old pants!
I refuse to watch it... doesnt mean you escape it tho being as every other TV programme and various mags and papers will be banging on about it, not to mention the deeply exciting BB conversations everyone has to have on the tram :loopy: praise the lord for personal stereos

I hear more people moaning about Big Brother than I hear talking about it. Especially my dad who I swear does it deliberately just to get a rise from me. He virtually chants 'Big Bloody Brother' whenever he spots a reference to it. It drives me potty.

Then he is one of the enlightened.

We the enlightened, owe it to you, the victims of this programme, to bring you the truth:

Big Brother Milks you for Cash.

Big Brother turns you into a major bore when you start regaling us, the enlightened, with the banal antics of rutting tv wannabes and acting school droputs, as shown to you by the judicous editing and bowdlerizing of the diabolical production company that first whipped up this filth.

Big Brother panders to your superiority complexes and may cause intolerable character vanity.

Big Brother is not live, it is edited and it is altered to make better television. Its fake fake. Or Fake ^ Fake even

:D

Television may rot your brain, but BB is an active cancer.

But I don't really care about that, if people want to watch it then let them and quit the whining. Just to clarify here; I don't even watch Big Brother. I just get sick of people who winge about how dull it is, like watching paint dry, all acting school dropouts, yadda yadda...

To me, I can't really see why people who are moaning about BB are any better than the slimsid guy who's moaning about drug use in the drugs thread.

Big Brother?! Meh, I'd have more fun playing The Sims on PC than watching that tripe....

Same kind of thing in a virtual sense but at least it's somewhat entertaining...

I admit I did watch it far too much the first year it was on (was more interesting than my revision) but I cant bear it anymore, or any of those other reality thingys either. There are far too many now and personally I would rather have my own element of reality than watching someone elses.

steady on sidla, we're not really declaring bb to be the end of society or anything. just having a light hearted discussion about why we do, or do not like it. It is only a tv program at the end of the day.

Ahem - was that rant knowingly self referential, or are you simply too arrogant to recognise your own shortcomings? Do tell...

It's no longer a social experiment. Just cheap (to make) TV for low-brows and no-brows to chat about at the drinks cooler the next day.

Well they were being very friendly towards each other in that bed. It was the things that she was saying to him that got me: 'feel my b***sts', 'I can teach you things'.

Disgusting.

When I was her age, the BB house was just a twinkle in the eye of....

Take no notice of me.

Lestat

And he's meant to be THE most intelligent in the house!! LOL:P Did you hear some of the answers he gave to the questions on Sat night!? . .

(Q) What sport does Jimmy - the whirlwind - White play?
(A) er . . . Boxing

I'll tell you what he's really good at - looking in the mirror at himself every five minutes to check that his hair is ok.

What I can't really understand is why people are sitting in a house, watching people sitting in a house!?!?!?

WHAT A LOAD OF COBBLERS!

Sidla

I can't understand people sitting at a computer moaning about people sitting in a house, watching people sitting in a house.

Although maybe I'm just sitting at a computer moaning about people sitting at a computer, moaning about people sitting in a house, watching people sitting in a house. :loopy:

Are there not more important things to moan about? Please change the record. Ignore the Big Brother threads if it's not your cup of tea.

I even have the video set if I go out so I don't miss an episode.

Oh this is so evil, I would love to be able to decide who gets cold showers, etc in that house.

Victor has said too much about Emma and Michelle, they will have their revenge.

I hope there is more evil set up`s yet to come.

Did you see what happened last night, all out war in the bb house and Emma has gone.

People were locked away after the fight and security guards were called and all live feed was taken off for well over an hour because of the argument that took place.

What will happen now.

Bedhead
17-06-2004, 07:55
blimey - more details please...! who did she have a fight with?!

erm not that i'm bothered like or owt

rosie

After the food fight and Vanessa, Victor and Jason not liking this Victor threw wine over Emma and then plates were thrown and fights started with those named and Marco and Nadia.

Victor and Jason hurled death threats to Marco and then Vanesssa, Jason and Victor were called into the diary room.
Daniel carried Emma away from the argument.

Security guards and the production team were called in live feed was cut and they were seperated into the bedroom and living room.

Jason and Victor found out where Michelle and Emma had been and had a fit because they said they had been evicted and Michelle said no they had not.

Shell does not want to speak to Marco, Nadia and Emma.

At 5.30 they were still seperated and Emma was missing presumed to have been taken out of the bb house.

Keep watching for more updates.

The house is a mess with food, plates tables and other items having been thrown.

Some of them have talked this morning and they are still lying.
Jason is saying well the house is now divided and it won`t be the same and i don`t think Victor will be safe ne wants chaos.

Jason and Vanessa will say anything to please and as for Stuart he has to anaylise everything he says , he is so boaring.

This morning he was playing with the water hoses like they were his pistols with his cowboy suit on. What a baby.

noseyrosie
17-06-2004, 14:07
Jason is a god damn pervert and I hope he rots in baby oil hell.

He's all slimy (in more ways than one) and before him and Vanessa did whatever it was that they did in the shower, there was this one part where he was practically trying to rape her! He's so creepy...

No eviction tonight

Votes will be carried through to next week and emma and victor will meet away from the others to work out their problems.
