What's it like? Worth a try?

I wondered this too!! and how about prices??

Ive only been in once, and that was when it first opened. We went in on a Friday afternoon, it was £6 each (not including drinks), and the food was pretty good. Not loads of variety, but thats because it was the afternoon, apparently its more expensive at night because they have more dishes on.

on a website somewhere, i read it was £8 - but i'm not sure if this was up-to-date or not. don't know much else about it. might be just a matter of wandering down and having a see...

Its £8 per head Sunday to Thursday, and £9.50 on Fri/Sat. Once you get past the slightly school canteen feel to the place the food is not too bad at all for an all you can eat. The menu changes slightly every day as well and there's always plenty of veggie options. I'm not 100% sure, but think it opens around 5ish and is open till around 11. Been there quite a few times now and never been disappointed.

The last time I was there I got chatting to the owner and it seems that despite the increasing popularity of DQ's downstairs it wasn't the same for the restaurant upstairs. He was even talking about poss having to move or close if business didn't pick up. Would be a shame as it's a damn sight better than most of the chinese buffet places in town...

Not been but i have beento Eskitinum which i here is much better. I would very much recommend although it's not in the City Centre but located at Attercliffe/Darnall

Went to it last year and was impressed with the food although as above it is a bit like a school dinner hall. Bar downstairs was awful, like a social club but been back since it's changed to DQ's and it's quality :)

I went last Friday and there was looads of food :D Some of the curries get a bit samey, but there's a good choice of 'starters' as well. Great service as well.
I did manage to eat four big plates of food, only stop because everyone else had finished, then promptly lose weight. But that's just my weird metabolism :P

Went about 3 months ago and it was well worth the money and my kids loved the starters and icecream!

I have been a few times. Well nice. I think im going to arrange to go again very soon. :thumbsup:

Went to eat there last night and there was a "closed for refurbishment" sign up...gutted!

Been there and not impressed. Think it's good if you go with a big group but for quality curry I'd rather go to Nirmals.

Good starters but the currys were rubbish.
Depends what you like, if you're not fussy bout Indian then it's great but if you are fussy bout your Indian food then it depends as they cook different dishes on different nights.
Def worth the money tho :thumbsup:
I wud rather go Seven spices or Ranmoor Tandori anyday tho. :)
