As I was walking along from Moscar this weekend, I noticed that there are what look like casts for molten metal (?!) cut into some stones. They all have engraved numbers by them as well, I found number 14, then every 50 metres or so I saw 13, 12, 11 and 10. Does anyone know what they are?
I was told by a reliable person that they were some sort of way of collecting drinking water for the grouse and were made by gamekeepers many a moon ago. If you notice there is a chanel to collect and direct the water into the 'cup'
That or he was pulling my £$@)&*! and I have just made a fool of myself :?

I can also confirm that the above information is correct.

That's very interesting, and wierd! I saw the channels - I couldn't work them out at all...
