Does anyone know of any really nice restaurants in Nottingham, I want somewhere a bit special but not way over the top pricey.

Try the Gala casino...there's a 'snack' bar which is pretty good in itself, the restaurant is very good....can be expensive if you've visited the tables before!, otherwise very reasonable
