If they are the ones who used to be on Green Lane near Shalesmoor then I would be careful of them if I were you. They had a minimum charge of £15 about 3 or 4 years the robbing b******s. I only needed one bolt and the bloke on the counter said 'take it as a sample'. Nice. 8balltiger 30-05-2006, 18:02 i worked for williams on their trade counter, we were always happy to help with the odd item. the 15 quid charge was a detterent to time-wasters and also came in handy at busier times, anybody who had the pleasure of being taken around the building will know how long it took to serve for this 1 bolt, green lane was a rabbit warren, don't know what they are like these days at shepcote way 8balltiger 30-05-2006, 18:04 Permafast, Neepsend Ind est. 0114 275 5527 Ask for Roger. roger staniforth, an old williams rep 8balltiger 30-05-2006, 18:05 green lane branch of williams closed late 1998, where the heck did that time go PhilMurray 30-05-2006, 18:41 i now work at williams after 22 years at infast, we have a ten pound min charge but help out with samples or the odd bolt or two and have a charity box on the counter for small donations |
